WEEKLY UPDATE

November 6 2011

Friday morning Doug, Frank and I attended the Bike Safe NC class with the Raleigh Police, Cary Police and State Trooper motor cops. It was an informative but WET day. It's always a good thing to sharpen your riding skills. Stromboli's brought out 10 members for Bike Night, good conversation and food.

Saturday I was met by Doc and Bonnie, Fred, Bill, and David for a very nice and colorful ride to Clarksville VA. A little cool to start the day but the full sun warmed us up by afternoon. Frank has another ride planed for next Sunday to the same area so if you couldn't make this one here is your chance. See details below.

Sunday there were no Chapter Rides posted.

Please try to attend the Chapter Meeting this Wednesday night. This is the perfect time for you to tell us what you do and don't like about your club and make suggestions on how to make it better.

Check out the Delphi forum from time to time to keep updated on current events and club news. http://forums.delphiforums.com/RaleigSCRC

November 11.....Bike Night Jason's Deli Spring Forest Road 7PM

November 12.....2011 INA FITTS Memorial Toy Run to benefit the Smithfield Salvation Army. Greater Raleigh has participated in this charity ride even before I became a member of SCRC and I intend to keep the tradition alive. Please bring an unwrapped gift ($15) and meet at K-Mart (Six Forks and Strickland) 9:00AM KSU 9:15 or you like you can meet us and others at Team Power Sports in Garner at 10:00AM. The ride will leave from Team at 10:15 and pick up more riders at Team in Smithfield and Wal-Mart where you will have time to shop. Then we will head over to the Salvation Army and deliver our gifts and have a bowl of Frito Pie. If we are lucky the kids may sing a few Christmas songs. If you can only do one Toy Ride this year this is the one to participate in.

November 13.....Franks Clarksville Ride. Meet at K-Mart (Six Forks and Strickland) at 10:30AM KSU 10:45AM. Return around 3:30 to 4:00PM.

We all joined for our own reasons, but the club's reason for being, is group rides. Members who don't wish to participate, will be, and have been dropped.

First Saturday of each month "the reading of the names"   12 noon Rolling Thunder reads the names of North Carolina MIA's.... if you've never been, then be prepared to be moved

We have several members who work on week ends, If you work weekends, and want to ride during the week... the forum is a GREAT way to connect with others.  Please include a date in the post.
