Watching the news from Boston tonight. My heart and thoughts are with the victims of this terrible attack.

My family and friends are safe. Jessie and Nicolo decided to NOT go to the marathon.

A few days ago, I rode over that finish line on Boyleston St and past the explosion site several times with my daughter and son-in-law, looking for a place to park. We all walked a few blocks away, down Boyleston St to get our tuxedos.

This is close to home.

Bike blessing ride: Despite the pollen filled air... it looked like a GREAT day to ride. I topped the tank of the Golden Turd, and pulled into a parking stall to wait on folks.

Alain rode up on his Honda, thinking he needed to stretch her legs a bit... then came Mitch and Carol... and soon new member Lindy arrived.

A "tip of the hat" to Lindy... as she still lives in Lynchburg VA... talk about dedication...

After the introductions, and general bike talk... we eased out into the day.

Pretty uneventful ride, and then we got into the nice country back roads.

Cruising along on New Hill Ride (and making good time) whamo-slamo... all of a sudden, I had ZERO drive... engine running... just no go.

Found a place to pull over and inspect the bike... nothing visible... Hopefully it's the clutch.

Alain headed for home to fetch his trailer. I sent Mitch, Carol, and Lindy on a direct heading to the blessing.

Soon Alain returned, and we were loaded up and heading for home. Shelton's is open (sales only) on Sunday, so I figured that was the best place to go.

I think it was a "lucky break" that it happened today... and NOT on the West Va, or PA ride... which would have been a bummer.

Check out the Chapter Forum or the Yahoo group from time to time to keep updated on current events and club news.

If you see an event you want to attend, and you think it might be fun to attend said event, with fellow riders... Please post something on either Yahoo, or Delphi forums. If I see it in time, I'll cross post on the other. The forums are great ways for YOU... to get to know your fellow members, and with luck, get someone to ride along.
