Weekly Update

Quiet week. I was out of action for a few days with respiratory crud (no, doctors aren’t immune).

Participation is way down on bike nights and rides. I will assume this is a combination of weather, pre holidays.

I STILL have not heard from anyone about leading rides on New Year's Day and Frost bite ride on January 18. I agreed to take on the job of FO to keep the club going (at the request of a group of members), but if we are to continue as a chapter/club, I expect members to step up. The chapter will be as good and as active as YOU make it.

Bike for Sale: from Cindy
It has been a while since I have ridden, for various reasons. It has been sitting in the garage long enough and I have decided it is time to sell it. I have photos I can e-mail to you if you or anyone you know is looking for a good beginner bike. It has been lowered and fits my small stature perfectly.

The perfect Christmas gift for the new rider!

650cc twin cruiser complete with windshield, front wind deflectors, saddlebags, J&M CB radio with MP3 connector, rear luggage rack, safety bars with winter chaps, Kuryakyn highway pegs, bright HID headlight, extra rear lighting, lowered potato-chip seat, lowered rear, throttle-lock cruise, tank-bib, passenger backrest, bike cover, Metzler ME880 tires, 40+mpg and garage kept with only 33,000 miles

Ride safe,
Joel "Doc" Kann

This last week

December 6 Sweet Tomato – I was under the weather. Warm, balmy night, but only Frank showed up. Lonely Frank emailed me wondering where everyone else was. If attendance continues this way in the winter, we may need to cut back on bike nights to 1 or 2/month until spring.

I had to cancel Saturday's ride, also due to the respiratory crud. (better, now, thanks).

Bonnie and I discovered a great place in Cary, Abbey Road. Good burgers and live music some nights. They have a small side room for groups. We may want to try this one night for a bike night.
