IT'S WEDNESDAY!! Yikes. Working so much Monday got away from me. Typing this in my office.

Upcoming poker run this Saturday. Although this is NOT an official SCRC event, I urge you to attend. This promises to be fun and a great way to support SCRC family. Since we have posted it on our calendar, it will count towards participation points. I hope to see some of you there.

Plans are still evolving for our spring "Back of the Dragon" ride and summer Pennsylvania rides. Don't miss out. Put in for the time now.

And now a monthly participation point report. Members accrue points by going on, or leading chapter rides or attending bike night.
For our first month: Frank 9, Joel 5 (remember officers are not eligible), Tony S and Bonnie S each with 3, Bonnie N and John 2, Kevin, Doreen, Alain, Rick 1. Keep it up. We, FO/SO challenge you to beat us.

Names are coming in for the mascot (think of a red angry bird).
So far from GRSCRC:

  • Cardinal's Sin and Biggles
  • Louie V. Cardinal
  • Stanford
  • Jose Cardenal Red Schoendienst

This last week:

Bike night: Bonnie N. and I wimped out and caged it to Stromboli to find Frank, Tony and Bonnie S. had done the same. Lots of laughs and good eats.

Did not get a report on Frank's Super Bowl ride.

Spring in January ride

Met at Handy Hugo's at 10 am.Bonnie and I were joined by John Rooney on his blue Harley (Goldwing in the shop). I guess everyone else had to work. We chatted for awhile, then headed out down 540 in 50 degree weather. Out Green Level Road and zigzgged around Jordan lake, then down 15-501 to Andrew Rd. Skimmed the Haw River and Chicken Bridge Rd. then up into Saxapahaw. Delicious lunch and stories and laughs as the thermometer climbed to 70. Eating outside in short sleeves. Love Carolina. Soon back on the road and out Greensboro to Jones Ferry and back roads to Green Level and home. 100 MILES of Spring in January.
And did I mention the peacock on the road and an eagle fly over at Jordan Lake??

Check out the Chapter Forum or the Yahoo group from time to time to keep updated on current events and club news.

If you see an event you want to attend, and you think it might be fun to attend said event, with fellow riders... Please post something on either Yahoo, or Delphi forums. If I see it in time, I'll cross post on the other. The forums are great ways for YOU... to get to know your fellow members, and with luck, get someone to ride along.
