With Joel and Bonnie still en route from their vacation "down under" I'll try to bring everyone "up to date".

This last week:

Rain, fog cold weather, and the previous night made for a very small turnout on the New Year's Day ride. As no one showed up looking to carpool, I pointed my bike into the gloom, and headed to Asheboro. The roads were clear of traffic, and rain, and I was able to make good time getting to the Golden Corral. Too good it seems, as every time I glanced at my speedo, I had to back off a bit. (smile)
Turn out at GC was pretty low as well... and there were only 3 other bikes there. Port City, would have been a large presence but due to charging issues, they had to turn back for home. They reported a safe arrival home.

Tony & Bonnie, Kevin & Doreen, and I were all that attended the first "bike night" of 2013. We kept the staff busy, and the usual chatter of rides past and future were to be had.

No rides scheduled, but I was able to finish my chores early enough to stop by RPHD for the "chili-cookoff". I saw John R, Larry and Lynn W, Doug, and Larry N, in attendance.

The talk at bike night was for how nice Sunday was predicted to be, so I posted a note for a lunch ride. As to be expected the forecast was wrong. Tony and Bonnie, were as glad to see me, as I was to see them. They reported clear skies back towards Louisburg, so we scraped plans for Clarksville, and headed to "da Burg". Nice ride, but sunshine proved elusive, and we parted ways after lunch.

Ok... so THAT catches everyone up on the chapter goings on...

If you see an event you want to attend, and you think it might be fun to attend said event, with fellow riders... Please post something on either Yahoo, or Delphi forums. If I see it in time, I'll cross post on the other. The forums are great ways for YOU... to get to know your fellow members, and with luck, get someone to ride along.

Check out the Chapter Forum or the Yahoo group from time to time to keep updated on current events and club news.
