So, one year as FO of GRSCRC. Time, surely DOES fly by. I think it has been a good year for us. We have had participation in a ride or bike night from 28 members on 28 events. Tony, and the two Bonnie's lead in participation points. We have had great turnout at our bike nights and a successful weekend ride to WV. We have (thank you webmistress Belle aka Bonnie) revamped our Delphi and web pages. And thanks to Frank and Kevin, we have had numerous rides and events. We have a great weekend coming up in Mt Airy in September (don't miss it).

Again, I took this job as FO a year ago in hopes of keeping a great chapter going. I think, thanks to Frank and you all, we have done that. I would like to keep this going. As usual, we have participation from a core of about a dozen or so who ride regularly. I would like to get more of our "63" members riding and involved. Let me know, by email, yahoo, or Delphi (especially if you haven’t been riding with us) what types of rides you would like to go on. Short (100-200 miles), long day rides (200-400 miles), weekend 2-3 day rides, weeklong rides, do you want to (and can you) ride during the week?, Do you like to ride only, or do you want to go somewhere to lollygag for a bit, then ride back? Would you like to lead a ride? Would you need help? Do you want to plan a ride and then have a road captain lead?

This is your chance to speak up. If you're not riding and grumbling ("Why don’t they ever do a $%%@& ______ ride"). Make it YOUR club.

This last week

Bike night at Village Deli: Frank, Tony, "the two Bonnies", Mike H., Alain, me and Rick ate, laughed, and told stories for hours.

Clarksville Ride Saturday, July 20, 2013: Frank led me, Tony, "the two Bonnies" (I know I'll hear about this), and Steve Burton from Tar River on a merry, twisty ride up to Clarksville. We discovered that we had picked the Lakefest weekend, when the streets are filled with booths and people and closed to traffic. After some meandering through backstreet detours, we ended up at the Lamplighter. Good meal with, again, lots of yuks. Short walk back through the concessions and crowd, then back on home. Thanks for ANOTHER great ride, Frank.

Check out the Chapter Forum or the Yahoo group from time to time to keep updated on current events and club news.

If you see an event you want to attend, and you think it might be fun to attend said event, with fellow riders... Please post something on either Yahoo, or Delphi forums. If I see it in time, I'll cross post on the other. The forums are great ways for YOU... to get to know your fellow members, and with luck, get someone to ride along.
