Happy Labor Day to you all. I hope you all have had a fun/restful weekend. I think back to my dad, with whom I marched in a few Labor Day parades in NYC with the AFL-CIO.

In case anyone is planning on attending the national rally, this, from national:
Kevin wrote: I will be posting route maps and Garmin files this weekend, along with the schedule. There are still a few rooms left, but you cannot book them online. You have to call the hotel. The phone number is on the registration website. Pre-registration ends next week. We are currently over 320 registered.

The registration page is scrcnationalrally.com

Lindy, unfortunately, has had to drop out of the MT. Airy weekend. If you still want to attend, but could not find a room, one may now be open. Contact Spike or David Miller.

And please welcome a new GRSCRC member, Bob Rollar. Bob lives in Wake Forest, and rides a, wait for it, 2000 Vulcan... Bob can be reached at rrollar@nc.rr.com. If you run into (don't take that literally, Tony) Bob on a ride or at Bike Night, introduce yourself and say hi.

Saturday Pot Luck ride from Kevin: I got to Sheets at 8:30 and Frant was already sipping on a coffee, I gassed up and got a drink and when I sat down with Frank, Mike Hodges joined us. We gabbed til about 9:15 and headed out. We took back roads from wake forest to butner, up to timberlake to hurdle mills, stopped at the Citgo at rt. 86 & rt. 49, then we headed down rt. 49 to jeffries cross roads to altamahaw, from there I'm not sure where we were. We were on a lot of back roads, then rt.150 to rt. 158 to yancyville, lunch at hardees. Frank led us to some road I couldn't find (and can't remember the name), then we wound our way to Bahama, lake mickey, over to rt. 98 in Durham where Frank turned for home and I rode with Mike to wake forest. It was a great day to ride, and it was made greater riding with a couple good friends. Thanks guys, can't wait til next time...
