Weekly Update

Tuesday July 1, 2014

Another inactive week. Busy packing up "stuff" to move into the new house on the 17th.

B and I are planning a trip to AZ and the Grand Canyon. Renting a Wing in P-hoenix. Never rode one before. Should be interesting.

This is a good time to get folks to step up and lead some rides. The group will only survive and grow with active participation.

Weather is hot but good. Remember to cool and hydrate when riding. Overheating and dehydration can affect your judgment and reaction time just like a few drinks of alcohol.

Tropical storm coming up from Florida in the next few days. Watch the weather.

Ride safe,
Joel "Doc" Kann

Bike Nite

None this week.

Chapter Rides

No chapter rides this week, but Kevin and Dorene enjoyed a day ride last Sunday.

"We left the house about 11:45 a.m., headed towards Louisburg via back roads, we like to take roads we have never been on when we are alone, so I'm not sure where we were most of the time. The second time we came to rt. 401 we headed north to Warrenton, had Lunch at Robinson ferry, then rt. 58 south to Centerville, more back roads and came out in Louisburg, gas up, then over to the airport to watch planes come and go, and a flight of skydivers come down. Back roads to Youngsville, quick stop at Harris Teeter, back roads home. What an Awesome day to be out, hope everyone got to enjoy the weather."
